Now clip the legs close to the board so that
they don't short out to the case.
Here's what the final, installed LM2596-5
looks like....before we bend it.
Now...very carefully...bend the LM2596 all
the way around the board so that it ends
up facing down, like this. Note the legs
are FLAT on the top of the board. If you
don't get them flat, there won't be enough
leg left to make the bend. Be careful not
to break a leg!
Now cut 2 red wires (#22GA stranded from
Radio Shack) and 2 black wires (same) about
8 inches long and connect them to the original
input and output holes on the Lilli PCB.
Your unit should now look like this.
