The CNX-P1260 DC-DC Regulator is the world's only +12V in/+12V out DC-DC regulator designed specifically for the CarPC market. It allows you to keep the DC-DC ATX PSU that came with your Travla or Morex case for a very cost effective power solution. It includes a startup/shutdown controller and several other important features which make for a well-behaved CarPC system. And, it survives engine cranking!!

If your CarPC case comes with a DC-DC PSU (such as Morex 60W), the CNX-P1260 will regulate the battery power and provide a safe, regulated +12V (+/-5%) output to feed it.

The new CNX-P1260 DC-DC power supply is designed specifically for the CarPC market to be used with systems such as the Casetronic C-134 case (feeding its existing internal power supply) and the VIA M10000 motherboard, or the new TC-10000 motherboard with on-board DC-DC converrter. The CNX-P1260 takes a battery input of +7.5VDC to +18VDC (survives engine cranking) and provides a regulated +12VDC +/-5% output at up to 5Amps. It also includes a shutdown controller with jumper selectable timeouts, a low-battery monitor to prevent battery damage, and a delayed +12VDC remote output to enable other devices such as your audio power amplifier (the delay helps revent speaker "thump"). The units includes a "smart fan" with vairable speeds to prevent overheating in high ambient temperature environments. The CNX-P1260 measures just 4.6" x 3.25" x 1.75" (L x W x H) or 117mm x 83mm x 45mm..

Summary Specifications/Features
Input Voltage +7.5VDC to +18VDC (survives engine cranking)
Output Voltage +12VDC +/-5%
Output Current 5 Amps, over-current and short-circuit protected
Output Power 60 Watts continuous at nominal +12VDC input
Shutdown Controller Jumper selectable timeouts of 30sec, 5min. 10min., or 15min.
- Intelligent startup/shutdown controller helps protect against hard disk crashes by "locking out" any user action during bootup and shutdown sequences.
Battery Monitor Continuously monitors battery voltage. If voltage stays below +10.5V for more than 10 seconds, a "Forced Shutdown" sequence begins
Other Features Input overvoltage transient, load dump, and reverse voltage protection.
- "Delayed Power Enable" output allows you to turn on your audio power amplifier (or other devices) after a short delay from when the CNX-P1260 sends power to your CarPC. This helps prevent audio "thump" in your speakers.
Size 4.6" x 3.25" x 1.75" (L x W x H) or 117mm x 83mm x 45mm.
